every morning, i wake up, look out the window in the 8 bed dorm which has only had me staying in it since i got here. and i really hope that it is sunny... or at the very least not horendously snowy. and every morning my heart sinks as i see it predictably snowy as fuck. and im gunna have to spend the day with soaking wet feet. *sigh*

japanese people seem to love boats in the shape of animals.

YES, blue fucking sky!!! the guy at my hostel told me this morning, that Mt fuji would be visible this afternoon! i didnt believe him, but now it was looking more likely!

this mound of snow was as tall as me. classic snow. i hate it. in the bg of this picture aswell (you can bearly see it) is one of the cctv cameras positioned at the enterance to the forest, aleegedly to monitor the people going in and coming out to deter potentialy suicidal people from killing themselves... i dont see how thats going to stop anyone really? but still...

it was a vary nice change to have some food that wasnt 50% fish and 50% soy sauce!

some sound advice.

another do not enter sign... this time i was like.. fuck it, i wont go through there, because the path was covered in trees drooping under the weight of the snow... meaning i have to crouch under themn, and EVERY time i do that, my tripod catches on them and snow goes down the back of my top. but then i started walking the other way, and noticed the whole do not enter section of the forest was fenced off with barbed wire... this obviously made me really want to find out why it was do not enter... so i went back, and went along the path... i didnt find much, a few coloured tape trails, wich i wasnt in the mood to follow, i sprained my ankle yesterday, and wasnt up for climbing around on the bastarding volcanic rock... i turned back after about 40 minuites along the trail and whent back.

wheyy, this photo makes it look shit, as it was taken through the grubby window of the little bus. but it was very impressive, first time iv seen it! it was only visible for about 40 minuites then it was covered by clouds again :( didnt get a channce to get a proper photo...
